inner strength studio is located on the light rail (between the
50th street & VA Medical Center stops), directly across Hiawatha
Ave from the Minnehaha Park/Falls in the Longfellow/Nokomis neighborhood.
inner strength's Bootcamp, and fusion workouts will incorporate
the beauty and serenity of the Park and Falls as well as the challenge
of the terrain. inner strength studio is located in a historically
spiritual gathering place of ancient Americans. Minnehaha Falls
was a sacred place, a neutral place, for many tribal nations to
gather. The studio offers a private environment with convenient
parking, changing rooms, shower and bath facilities. The inner
strength studio’s friendly staff and instructors include
the Twin Cities elite list of experts in the disciplines of biking,
running, yoga, and athletic training.
Created
in 1987, the SPINNING ® program is the world's original indoor
cycling program, offering cycling-inspired group classes with
expert coaching, inspirational music and a mind/body philosophy.
Along with the patented bikes and targeted heart rate monitoring,
the Mad Dogg Athletics' Spinning program allows all ages and abilities
to experience the camaraderie and fun of a group exercise at a
self-directed pace. Each 60 minute class will burn over 700 calories,
develop mental and physical strength, build endurance, and improves
cardiovascular health. With a 75 minute class on Sunday mornings
and a 2 hour ride once a month the opportunity to burn even more
calories exists!
To
gain the full benefit of your spinning experience, the fitness
schedule will place Power Yoga and Hatha Yoga immediately after
several spinning classes, allowing a complete cardio/strength/spirit
workout.
For
the hard core biking enthusiast, the Outdoor Group Bike Rides
begin April 30th (through September 30th). These ongoing rides
are on Tuesday/Thursday evenings with a 3+ hour Sunday morning
ride (road bikes only). For the recreational bike rider who wants
the group ride experience, they have your ride available on Monday
evenings (any bike types). These continually changing rides are
lead by experienced group ride instructors. (Helmets required!!)
Inner
Strength Studio's owners Melissa and Tracy Moreno encourage their
students to have a lifelong commitment to physical, mental, and
spiritual wellness. inner strength will offer patrons the opportunity
to develop this 3 part balance in their own lives, regardless
of what stage they currently are at in their journey. With 7 years
experience as a Mad Dogg Athletics' certified instructor, teaching
at the Cathedral Hill YWCA, Minneapolis Club, and Lilydale, Melissa
has inspired her students to perform to their highest level in
the gym, on the road, and in their lives. With a 4 month old newborn,
the Morenos both have entrepreneurial backgrounds and are excited
about bringing their successful skills together to promote health
and wellness in the community. Melissa has two older daughters
(Corinna-15 yrs and Kennedy-10yrs) who will be great consultants
for the upcoming Kid's Fitness classes!
We
will donate a portion of our proceeds to the amazon conservation,
humane society, and the Minnesota aids project. So not only will
you feel good about creating a healthy body, you will feel good
about giving to those in need.
